Airtel GPRS Night Pack Activation & Details

Airtel has been providing its users with Airtel Night GPRS pack which offers 400 MB of Download at Rs. 9 only but there are many questions unanswered which we will discuss in the post. I have been personally using this plan from months and I am satisfied with it as it is very affordable and great companion for downloading files and other stuffs.

Here is what this plan offers as said by Airtel:
400 MB of data usage on 2G network mode at Rs. 9 valid from 11 PM (Of same day as activation) to 6 AM (Next Day's morning)
P.S. If you are not sure then PLEASE call customer care, 198, and confirm if this plan is available in you area. I have tested this in Airtel UP West Network.

How to activate Airtel Night Plan

You can activate this plan from your mobile's balance by dialing *567*9#
Now it will ask for your confirmation, reply with 1 to confirm your request. The plan will be activated immediately, 9 Rs deduct from your main balance.

FAQ ( Frequently Asked Questions)

But wait, there is definitely more that a user of this plan needs to know which I am going to explain you. There are definitely some conditions attached. For the sake of clarity, I have made an FAQ list for it.

Q: If I have any other plan activated, will data deduct from other plans too?
A: No, if you use this plan as per the permitted time.

Q: What will happen if I cross the data limit?
A: You can't. As per the download speed provided, you can at most download 300 MB of data in one night.

Q: What will happen if time limit ends?
A: After the time limit is reached, the download will continue from other pack if already activated or if not activated then your Balance will deduct. If you have zero balance then the download will show error.

Q: I activated the plan on afternoon and later on the same day I got a message from Airtel that says my plan will be deactivated tonight. WTF? Like I haven't used it yet?
A: This message means nothing, you will be able to use the plan, please read below for more information.

Q: How to check remaining MB?
A: Dial *123*31#

LIES LIES and LIES

Airtel has lied to you for about three different things. As I have myself used this plan, I will tell you where they are lying to you!

#1. The plan is not of one night.

Wait, cheer up because you get 8 Hours and about 20 minutes of Internet usage! But Airtel said, this plan is valid for 11 PM to 6 AM? How it is of 8+ Hours?
Let me explain! Suppose you activate this plan on Monday afternoon!
1. Start using this plan from 11:00 P.M. Night and you will be able to use it for upto 6:14 A.M. morning of next day, i.e., Tuesday
2. Now you can use the remaining data on Tuesday night also :), start using this plan again at 11:00 P.M. night of Tuesday and you will be able to use it upto 12:06 A.M. of Wednesday!

#2. Crossing the limit will cost you many bucks

Here comes a twist, suppose you have a download running of big file AND you have not other net pack activated other than this Airtel night pack. Now it keeps on downloading for the whole night, suppose you forgot to stop/pause the download and it still runs after 6 AM, THEN YOUR BALANCE WILL DEDUCT UPTO Rs. 250/-.
So it is my advice that you use this pack at zero or minimum balance to avoid such situation. Read Tip #2 below!

Bets Tips for max utilization of this plan?

Yes, you need to read this if you want to get the most out of this plan.

1. Use UC Browser.
No I am not promoting it, in fact I have some reasons why I am recommending this.
Firstly, UC Browser supports Cloud Download, i.e., You can first download files to their server and then to your phone from their server. After that, your download will be at max speed and it will also support resuming download.
Another reason is that you can download all of your downloads one by one automatically so that you don't have to wake up whole night to start downloads and shit. Just start download of files one by one and pause them as soon as you add them. Now go to options and select start all downloads. Good Luck!

2. Activate standby plan too.
If you have got some balance left in your mobile phone then first activate a plan of minimum of two days validity. After activating this plan now activate the night plan. Now Airtel will not deduct your balance if you are not able to pause/ stop download in the morning.

3. Your mobile phone is a mobile phone. It is a better idea to connect your phone to a charger for whole night as your mobile phone's battery won't be able to run for straight 7 hours and when the battery dies, your phone, your problems!

Alert: Airtel Giving 3G speeds on 2G Internet Packs

Update: Hope, you enjoyed the time this offer was active. Now go back to your old house as this time has vanished. Goodbye 3G and welcome-back 2G
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello friends, this is a post after a very very long time. If you are an Airtel user, you might be aware of the amazing 3G plan that it launched some months back and it was sadly, discontinued some days back. I reported about the plan, its usefulness and the benefits with its benchmarks earlier but now forget it, its not of any existence now.

Now here comes the anti-depressant good news.

You might know that we can use 3G network on 2G plan. It was of no use because we got the same 2G speeds with a slight speed increase which was not enough to be mentioned. But here comes the good news.

People like me are getting 7.2 Mbps 3G speed at the price of 2G internet pack. You must be seeking for the  instruction, huh? So here are the steps to enjoy Lamborghini at Nano's price :-)
  • Make sure that 3G is activated on your number. To activate 3G, simply send a SMS to 121 with body 3G
  • Now when 3G is activated, activate any 2G internet pack.
  • Switch to 3G network on your mobile device or USB Modem
  • Enjoy
Airtel 3G Internet Speed
Download Speed of Airtel 3G

It is that easy to enjoy high speed internet at the budget. The best Internet plan acc. to me is the Rs 60 1 GB 14 Days plan for Airtel 2G, or better say 3G now.
Details and activation procedure for that plan is given at the link understated.

HTC Butterfly v/s Nokia Lumia 920 - Which One to Pick?

There comes a time when a high end device ends up as a mid-range device because the company creates another great device which is the new flagship of the company. This is the normal life-cycle of every phone possibly and it will keep on going this way till the time the technology is steadily improving and progressing. Both the phones in comparison today, HTC Butterfly and Nokia Lumia 920 used to be the flagships of their respective manufacturers until they were substituted with the HTC One and Nokia Lumia 925 respectively.

Screen & Body

HTC Butterfly The HTC butterfly is a candy-bar form phone with a 5” Full HD display at 1920x1080 pixels resolution at 441 ppi. Compare that to the Nokia Lumia 920, it sports a 4.5” qHD display of 1280x768 pixels at 332 ppi. The screen of the Butterfly ismuch better and sharper than the Lumia 920, but the 920 has an IPS LCD display which makes its display pretty sharp enough to make it capable to compete with Full HD resolutions. Both the screens are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. By weight comparison the Lumia 920 is heavier at 185g owing to its great camera and polycarbonate casing. The Butterfly is just 140g.

Hardware

The Lumia 920 runs on a Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait and Adreno 225 GPU whereas the Butterfly runs on Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait and Adreno 320 GPU. HTC Butterfly also has double the RAM at 2GB. So all in all, the Butterfly has better specs and is pretty fast, but the 920’s CPU is enough for the phone’s regular functioning owing to a different OS which we will be covering later. The 920 comes with 32GB internal storage which is non-expandable whereas the Butterfly has 16GB internal and is expandable upto 32GB. The 920’s 2000 mAh battery lasts enough for 1.5 days with medium usage whereas the Butterfly’s 2020 mAh battery lasts about 1 day with medium usage due to the stronger processor and screen.

OS

Both these phones run different OSs. The Lumia 920 runs on the new Windows Phone 8 OS which is sleek, snazzy and works like butter. Its Live Tiles are pretty awesome and make the phone very lively. The OS is very light and so the smaller processor of the Lumia is enough to smoothly operate the phone. On the other hand, Butterfly runs on HTC Sense 4.0+ over Android JellyBean 4.1.2. This is a pretty heavy OS and thus the Butterfly’s strong processor does a great job handling it smoothly. The Lumia 920 comes with a high Nokia mobile price in India, and brings the goods to back it up as well.

Camera & Entertainment

Nokia Lumia 920 YellowThe 8MP camera on the HTC Butterfly does a pretty good job and is capable of capturing 1080p videos at 30fps. Its 2.1MP front camera is also capable of 1080p videos at 30fps but the Lumia 920’s 2MP front shooter does a decent job of 720p videos at 30fps. What impresses us the most is Nokia’s 8.7MP PureView HD+ camera that gives some really awesome images. It shoots the best low light images than any camera in the world. Also the 920 comes with some awesome features like Optical Image Stabilization, Autofocus, etc.

Apps & Functionality

If you look at the current situation, Android App Market, Google Play has over 800,000 apps whereas the Windows App Store has just crossed 150,000 figure lately. So it is a matter of time till the Windows OS develops and comes close to the Android or iOS app store for that matter. Though all the basic apps required are there available at the Windows App Store so won’t be actually missing much.

Conclusion

We compared the HTC Butterfly and the Nokia Lumia 920, the ex-flagships of their respective companies and we have decided to have a winner here. So considering all the criteria that we have judged these two phones on, we sure do have a clear winner and that is the HTC Butterfly with its amazing screen, fast processor, greater RAM, and bigger battery. The only place where Nokia manages to beat the HTC is the camera, but overall, it is the Butterfly all the way.

Latest Website Gives Free Mobile Recharge - July 2013

Hello my dear readers, I am sorry that I couldn't update this blog for a long time. Coming to point, as we all know that I have posted about free recharge sites like Pickzup, Embeepay and Ultoo previously, which are of those who work in real life, today I am going to tell you about one more such site which is most promising of all I have seen till my Internet Journey.

You might be already aware of pickzup which gives Rs 3 per referral, Ultoo which gives Rs 1 per referral only. What if a site is launched that has best of both worlds? I mean, if it pays high commission per referral and also allows you to earn money by sending SMS?

The answer is here and a new site has been launched! The name of this awesome website is LyfeTabs which means Life Tabs. In this website, you can earn credits easily and quickly for doing short tasks varying from sending SMS to creating Status Updates!

If you sign up using above link, which is having a unique code attached to it, you will instantly get Rs 5 as sign up bonus
Here are the salient features of this site:
  • Rs 10 per full referral, which is the highest paid by any site till now!
  • Earn 30 paise for every sent to your site friend or 10 paise to anyone else!
  • Allows you to invite as many friends so that you can earn without any break.
  • Many more unique features which makes this site completely different.
  • Minimum amount required to redeem as mobile recharge is just 10 Rs which you can earn by only a single referral.

Referral Rate

As I said above, the referral rate is Rs 10, but there are two conditions needed to earn this commission and these are:-
  • The referral must sign up using your unique referral link from a different computer. Spam sign up will be disapproved, so I hope you don't cheat this site.
  • The referral must complete his account by verifying E-mail address and also the mobile number, or any one of these is missing then you won't get any reward.
  • The site team will verify your referral first and then credit you points and the verification proces can take upto hours.

Earn Money by Sending SMS

As I said above, you can also earn credits by sending SMS very quickly and easily. This is a very good thing about this site and the best is that you get paid a very good amount for sending SMS. For this, you need to verify your mobile number and then start sending SMS. You will be paid 30 paise or 3 points for sending SMS to your site friends and 10 paise to your non-friends which is upto 15 times more than what Ultoo pays you :-)

Inviting New People

You can invite all your friends and family members to this amazing site and for each complete and verified referral, you will directly get Rs 10 which is the highest referral rate for any site now. After joining the site, you can invite your friends from the right sidebar. If you are having trouble in finding a direct referral link, then click on Share on Facebook and share the link with your friends and take the link then from that.

More Unique Features

Free recharge site like Ultoo had a good feature of earning money by sending SMS which was first of its kind. The problem is that the site was having captcha protection after you start sending a lot of SMS. But not in this site, as here you cane easily send SMS to your friends and they will pay you 10 paise to 33 paise depending on whom it is sent. One more thing to note that SMS can be sent only between 9 AM to 9 PM period, so as to protect the privacy of users, and you can NOT send SMS to those numbers on which DND is activated.

You also get paid for creating Status updates in this site by a rate of 33 paise per status and you can also upload your photos to earn same amount which is very easy and fun to achieve.

How to get Free Recharge

For processing your first recharge, you should have atleast 10 Rs in your account which can be earned easily by inviting only one of your dearest friend. One thing to note that this site is very strict and patient in terms of rewarding its users. So you can sometime need to wait for some hours before your referral commission is given to your LyfeTab account. After you have successfully got Rs 10 ore more in your account, then you can request a free recharge from the site. To proceed your free recharge just go to he following link and then fill all the necessary details.
Recharge from LyfeTabs

That's all I have to say about this site. People who are worried about the genuineness of this site, No need to do so as I have myself checked this site and yes it pays, but the only problem is that you have to wait for hours to get the amount credited to your mobile. I don't think it is a problem at all, because you can earn huge from this site easily but with patience!

Top 5 Ways to Speed up Your Android Phone

Make Android Run Faster
Android is the largest used mobile operating system across the globe after Apple’s iOS. It is a touch based OS with a smooth and easy UI. It has a huge app base with more than a million apps available for the users. Of course as the amount of apps build up, the memory used increases hence increasing the overall response time of the OS making it feel like it has become slow, which actually it has not.

Android sure is a very fast operating system but due to all the lags you do not want your experience to be ruined. Hence we are going to see the top 5 ways to speed up your Android phone and reduce all the lags so as to keep your android experience rich, fast and smooth as always.

Stop animations:

Animations actually feel very aesthetic and they are there for the same purpose. But actually when you close the app or start an app or switch between apps, these transition effects or animations take up that extra second to function and then take you to your app. In the beginning this might seem very pleasing, but later it can get a bit frustrating. So for that you just need to go to settings, developer options and in there disable all the animations and transition effects. By default it is set to 1x, but you just set it to none and you are good to go.

Uninstall unused apps:

Installing excess apps on the phone consumes memory since they all need to be loaded and hence keep running in the background. So this slows down the phone as extra cycles are wasted in these apps which you never use. So better to uninstall them and free some space in your phone to make it run faster.

Close all the background apps:

After you are done with your work with any app, it still keeps running in the background. This takes some extra effort from the hardware and OS to support them and also handle the current tasks being performed. So always go to the recent apps location and manually close the apps. Takes some extra seconds but saves on a lot of operating time on the phone. Mobiles on the higher side can handle multiple apps simultaneously, yet the free memory can be put to better use.

Do not use task manager/killers:

Despite popular belief, try not to use app killers. What this does is it deletes all the data in your cache. So if you need that app once again, then the data from the app needs to be loaded up again and again thus requiring more time for the app to start and respond. So all it manages to do to increase your time and not decrease it.

Reboot your phone:

Your phone is just like your computer. If your computer slows down, you restart your computer so that the RAM gets a clean sweep and it starts afresh again. The same is with your Android phone. So just reboot your device once a week maybe to clear out the RAM and restart all the processes so that the phone can work much faster and efficiently to its potential.

These are the top five simple ways to speed up your android phone. If your phone still does not feel fast enough for you after these, then you might want to consider shifting to a different kernel for your phone or reset your device to its factory settings. But all that is a last resort. The above mentioned ways do work, so stick to them and enjoy a faster and better android experience.

If you are sick of your old android phone, the you can check latest mobile phones with their accurate price and specifications here.

Best Airtel 3G and 2G Plan - June 2013

The best of Airtel Internet plans for 2G and 3G are here. We all know that Airtel has been providing the Internet access to us using 2G from many years back. Now the speed is little compromised with the 2G network, but do you know what, the 3G signals are ruling the match. Airtel has best 3G network as for my network circle ( Delhi & NCR )

Many of us are felling nostalgic about the latest changes in the 2G internet plans which seem to be halved keeping the price same. Remember the Rs 98 plan in which you earlier got 2 GB of data, now you only get 600 MB of data for the same price which is three times lesser than previous value. And the same happens with many plans like the Rs 5 Internet plan which gave 50 MB earlier and now giving just 30 MB. And one more to be noticed is the Rs 18 plan which gave 200 MB earlier and so on.

Now coming to the solution to this epic problem, I have come up with a useful plan.
For 2G, its about half the price and data is doubled.

The best 2G data plan, as for now is the Rs 60 plan which is a awesome deal. Here are the details of this plan.

Rs 60 gets deducted from your internal balance and you get 1024 MB of Internet usage including upload, download and surfing for 14 Days. Why this plan is awesome? If you double up the price, you will have 120 Rs and for that amount you will get 2 GB of Internet data for 28 days.

Meanwhile you will remember that a plan is available of Rs 125 which is giving just 1 GB of data. So for spending Rs 5 lesser the actual amount you are getting double the original data. :-)

How to activate this plan

The price of this plan is Rs 60 for Delhi & NCR circle. A note to users is that this plan can NOT be activated by a e-recharge or what you call, Flexi. To activate this plan, here is the procedure:

Maintain a balance of Rs 60 in your SIM. If you have zero balance and are looking for a perfect recharge, then proceed as follows. Recharge your Airtel number with Rs 60, and after that you will get Rs 50.40
but you need Rs 60 for the Internet pack to be activated, so again recharge with Rs 30 and you shall get Rs 23.

So after spending Rs 60+30, you will get Rs 50.40+23 = Rs 73.40
You can also say that you have Rs 60 + Rs 13.40 in your balance.

Now I will quickly show you how to activate the Rs 60 2G plan of 1 GB.

  • Dial *121*8#
  • After dialing the code, you will get a message that tells you that your command is accepted. Just exit that message and wait for a while to let the next message appear.
  • Now the new message will show you different plans grouped into categories.
  • Select More Internet plans and then in that list you will get the plan that you wanted as per our plan.
  • Reply with 5
  • Reply with 1 to confirm the activation of this plan.
  • wait for confirmation and enjoy double data internet for half price.

3G is also rocking

Please Note:  This plan has been removed recently by Airtel.

As I told you that I will let you know the best 3G plan, it is here. Most of us think that 3G is very, costly as high as fcuk. But this is not the case, if you think differently then you can achieve the best internet plan of the world. I am not joking, I have downloaded 900 MB of data in just 29 Minutes for just Rs 11.

I am not trolling you, I have done this thing without any trick, without any hacking and other illegal things.

The plan is Unlimited 3G Internet usage @ 7.2 Mbps speed for just Rs 11. But there is a little problem, this heaven like situation continues for just 30 minutes. But hey, isn't that enough time to download a full length movie in high quality?

You can find all the necessary details and activation procedure using the link below:
Airtel Unlimited 3G Plan for Rs 11 At 7.2 Mbps

Airtel Unlimited 3G Plan for Rs 11 At 7.2 Mbps

Update

Sorry to tell but this plan has been removed by Airtel on last few days, reported to me by Himanshu (See comments). So no more games to be played with high speed internet. Alternative is Idea's similar plan with unlimited internet for short time. Review coming soon.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello friends I am back with a new Internet Pack post and I am sorry for not being active these days because of my final exams. As we all know Airtel, Vodafone and other leading companies are actively promoting their 3G services and the number of 3G users are also actively increasing. 3G or 3rd Generation internet provides very high downloading speeds at reasonable price. But we live in India, Here money is just a piece of paper for some but a thing of necessity for others. If we look the recent changes in telecom services, there is a huge decline in the amount of service offered for the money spent. I am talking about the clash in data cap provided by the telecom companies, as they used to give 2 GB of Internet for Rs 90+ but now they give only 650 or such MB which is a big problem for the people like me who use Mobile Internet.

Now let me take you to the point. A normal Internet user likes downloading. Oh wait, a Internet user like me thinks of downloading Infinite data from Internet as the list of things to download is never ending. And if the downloading speed is 600 KBPS+ then its a complete situation for heaven feeling.

So do you want to download loads of shit at damn high speeds for mere 11 Rupees? Then here is the list of things you need to complete the elite downloading experience!
  • A place to stand or sit where 3G connectivity for Airtel is perfect. Remember, more the signals, the higher you can achieve the speed of download.
  • A 3G device with at least 3.2 Mbps connectivity and of course 7.2 Mbps is preferred because this plan is of 7.2 Mbps which means you can get download speeds ranging from 1 Mbps to 5.2 Mbps which is equivalent to 300 KBPS to 600 KBPS (as per my real world tests )
  • Balance of minimum Rs 11 in your mobile handset or device's SIM card

Now here is the official quote from Airtel about the 3G Internet plan

Get 30 Mins of 3G Internet for just Rs 11 for 1 day

Don’t worry I have made perfect plan for making the really fucking most out of your 11 Rs spent. If you want to live geek life then you need to think in different way. You think that 30 Mins of Internet is useless. And I think that downloading 400 MB of data within 30 minutes for just mere Rs 11 is fuking awesome deal.
And don’t get confused between 1 day and 30 mins of duration. Here is how it works.

After you activate this plan, you have one complete day to use Internet for a total of 30 mins. For example if you activate this plan on today morning at 8:00 AM, then you can either use it for direct 30 minutes non-stop till 8:30 AM, or five minutes after activating, disconnect and then after some hours use the Internet again for remaining 25 minutes.

How to activate this Plan

  • Dial *121*11# and wait for some seconds. After some time a message will show up on screen, simply exit that message as the message next after it is the main message, its just a confirmation message.
  • Now reply with 2 For selecting 3G
  • Now reply with 1 to browse 3G plans
  • Now reply with 7 to go to next plan
  • Reply again with 7 to go to next plan

And now you shall have reached what you need. Reply with 1 to activate the plan and then again reply with 1 to confirm that you are really wanting for this plan to be activated on your number.
You shall get a message saying that your plan will be activated within 4 hours but in actual you will get the activation confirmation message after 2-3 minutes.
Now you have 30 minutes of fast 3G internet that can be used within one day. Enjoy!

MUST READ Below to make the most out of this Internet plan:

For Smartphone users: If you are thinking of using this plan in parts but not continuously, then turn off internet connectivity just after using Internet as nowadays smartphones use always-on internet connectivity which can waste your plan’s worth. Either use the plan immediately completely or don’t forget to turn off data connectivity.
For PC users:  Use this plan for purpose of just downloading, as surfing Internet will be of no sense as this is meant just for downloading Purpose. Use IDM(Internet Downloading Manager) for max download speeds and make a queue in IDM so that you can save precious seconds for downloading more data.

To make a queue in IDM just follow these steps:
(It is recommended that you do the steps below using any other internet plan like Rs 5 plan as you just need to start the download for 2 seconds and then make a list)

Initiate a download in IDM and when the download starting message appears, click on download later and then click on OK.

Do the same for all other files as you can later download at least 200 MB of data using Rs 11 plan within minutes)

Now go to IDM and select all the files that need to be downloaded and then right click and then select “Move to Queue” option and then select create new queue. Now specify any name for the queue.
In the new window just opened, you can select the position of the files to be downloaded and when you are done, Activate the plan now and select start queue.

Now sit back and relax. For best results, download files from servers that support resume feature.

Thank you for reading and please share this post if you liked the my creative idea of downloading more, quickly by spending less money.

A Glimpse of my data usage on this plan

So, you saw right. I downloaded 830 MB of data in just 29 minutes and 46 seconds for just 11Rs

Latest Airtel 2G GPRS Plans - 2013 January

Airtel logo 2013 Latest HD transparent
This week, the last week of 2012, Airtel seems to be very ridiculous as they have slashed their 2G GPRS plans by half. This is gonna troll all the Airtel Subscribers who prefer mobile Internet. I know its a sad news for most of people, but as per my duty, I should tell you the actual summary of this WTF incident. Most plans have been chnaged including those motnhly and others internet packs. So have a lok over the plans, last updated in 26 Dec, 2012
You can also check out all plans manually using *121*8#

Daily Internet Plans

There is no change in this category, however here is the list of all plans available. I am not gonna describe you all in detail, you can see a detailed overview for more information in my last post.

Monthly Internet Plans

Airtel has changed this one, a lot which you are gonna hate a lot. Psst, keep reading this post, in the end I have gave some worthy suggestions on choosing a good plan which is still useful :-)
Now there is not unlimited Internet plan at all which was announced recently; the Rs 149 plan. Instead they have slashed the existing Rs 98 plan, which was 2000 MB in June, 1000 MB in July and now a mere 600 MB -_-
Also its not monthly at all, as the Rs 908 one is of 21 days and the 125 for 1000 MB is of 28 days. Looks like they love February.

Others

As people think different, so they need plans that actually suit them. In this case the "Others"  category pleased them with the Rs 18 plan and the Rs 35 plan, but this category has also been affected.

Misc Plans

As in the last week, Airtel introduced two new plans, namely the Night internet pack and the Facebook Internet pack, which seemed to please its users. The night internet plans is the best for Airtel users in terms of Data usage and price. Its 400 MB for only Rs 9. And the bad news is that they have changed the newly introduced Facebook plan a little. The change is that its now a Auto Renewal plan lasting for 7 days. This means, if you activate Facebook plan today, it will activate automatically day by day for 7 days, so it costs you 280 MB for 21 Rs and for 7 days. if you smart enough, you can also deactivate in the last minute to escape from the *121*8# menu.

  • Rs 9 - 400 MB for one night

Airtel Latest GPRS 2G Internet Packs [Updated]

Airtel New Logo HD
 Update:
Airtel has changed its 2G GPRS plans. SO please check and refer this post for more accurate research.
Airtel 2G GPRS plans 2013 January

In this world of 3G, our very own 2G feels so old and useless now. So here I share with you a point to be noted on benefits of 2G. 2G is very cost efficient, still useful for managing online apps like Facebook Messenger, Whats-app and other apps that require next to zero internet connectivity for their usage. So never mind, you can still be connected to your friends with the 2G technology as its the only method for getting connected to Internet for those who are light on Pocket.

Airtel, after seeing the increase in number of mobile internet subscribers has launched new Internet plans for more affordability and choice to its users. Besides previous plans, it has added some new ones and also changed the activation menu. Lets have a look on them!

These internet plans are divided into five different groups according to Data Cap, Time and Type of usage. Let us start with the First plan that you need the most, the daily internet plans. Please choose the plan you need and I will tell the activation below this post after showing you all available plans.

Daily Internet Plans

Airtel offers three daily internet plans and these are of 50 MB and 100 MB. Here are these three plans:

The difference between the first and second plan is of automatic activation. The first plan once activated, needs to be manually deactivated until you have enough balance. This means that the plan will activate itself once the data cap completes or the day passes. So it is recommended to skip to Plan 2 as it is based on manual activation and does not reactivates itself when finished. And the last one is simple: 100 MB for 1 Day in 10 Rs.

Monthly Internet Plans

You have choice of two internet plans on monthly basis. The first plan is as usual, the old one 98 Rs. In this plan, you will get 1 GB of data usage for one month. The next one is a new and modified plan. It is basically an Unlimited Internet Plan from Airtel which as usual, has some limits. Once you activate, you will get 2 GB of internet usage for 30 days and once you finish the data cap of 2 GB, then your Internet speed is reduced to 40Kbps and then the plan will continue for the same month. So if you activate this plan, you will get internet usage for 30 days with 2GB for maximum possible speed and then the speed will get down to 40Kbps. Not bad, still usable for light weight work like googling something or messenging.

Misc Internet Packs

Besides the usual plans, the daily and monthly ones, Airtel also lets you choose from several other Internet plans. These range from Rs 18 to Rs 60 Or 200 MB to 1000 MB. Here are the plans that are currently available for us.

Specials

Now comes the best plans for downloading and Facebookers. These two plans have been recently launched and are completely unbeatable. One is Night Internet pack and the other is Facebook internet pack. The Night Internet pack will give you 400 MB of data usage for just 9 Rs only. To make this plan work, you activate this plan, say today 5 PM in evening. To use this plan then, you will be legit to surf and download only after 11 P.M. to 6 A.M. of the next day. Not bad though if you need to download many files.
The next plan is of Facebook. After activating this plan, you will get 40 MB of Facebook usage for one day.

Activation

After choosing the suitable plan, its time for getting it in practice. You can start using Airtel Internet in your mobile after two things, Once after you activate the plan and you are using correct settings for your phone.

To activate your favorite Internet plans, follow these steps:
  1. Dial *121*8# from your Airtel phone. After some time you will get a message to choose the category of your Internet plan. You shall use the above instructions to find the plan. Now after confirming the plan, reply with your specific plan category no, for eg, Reply with 1 for Daily Internet Packs.
  2. Now you will be shown the plans available on the basis of the category you choose. Now follow the on screen instructions.
  3. After you activate the plan, the price of plan will be deducted from your Mobile balance. After the plan will be activated, the CC will send you message for confirmation.

How to Receive settings for my Mobile Phone

Sometimes, if your Phone's internet applications is configured with incorrect profile, you might get error while connecting to Internet. If you think that  it is due to settings, you can ask for receiving settings for your phone again by sending a message to Airtel Customer Care.

To receive settings for your phone, Send MO to 54321 and the Airtel service person will shortly send you settings for your phone. Apply these settings and you can start using Internet on your phone.

Terms and Conditions

To minimize errors, I have tried my best. The plans were last extracted from my Airtel mobile using the *121*8# service code. These plans might change without any prior notice, so if you feel that there is any mistake in this article, please kindly inform us. Thank you and happy Internet surfing.

Most of the Internet plans shall be activate from Mobile balance, but if you want to activate Internet plan directly via recharge or flexi, then you can go with these plans as these are fully compatible with direct recharge but some are not. The plans that I found compatible with flexi recharge are:
  • Rs 18 Recharge for 200 MB for 3 Days
  • Rs 35 Recharge for 500 MB for 6 Days
  • Rs 98 Recharge for 1000 MB for 30 Days
  • Rs 149 Recharge for unlimited Internet for 30 Days
Thank you for preferring our help service, and I hope you felt easy and helpful with this article. Please allow me for the next post.

How to Activate GPRS on Airtel 2G

Airtel is one of the leaders in the telecommunication market with no signs of loss. Every 6 out of 10 Mobile users in India will have Airtel connection active in their mobile. This is due to the trust and quality of the service. Many people from India still use Internet via mobile phones and if they need to run internet on their PC, they will use their phone as modem. Not because Broadband Connection is too main-stream but because of the affordability of a GPRS internet. There is no internet connection cheaper than a Dial-Up based EDGE or GPRS connection. 3G is still ye to be established in developing country like India. Airtel offers affordable GPRS packs for mobile users who are using 2G connection.

Update: Please check our new post for Latest Airtel 2G Internet Plans!

The following internet packs are available on Airtel 2G. Below is a Chart showing the Price, Validity and Data cap of various plans to choose from.

Airtel GPRS Plans
Please Note: The information above was that of Delhi/NCR Circle and last tested on 20/Aug/2012
P.S. If you are living in area where Aircel 3G is available, please have a look of its plans which are extremely affordable.

Aircel Unlimited 3g Plans

The above internet packs can be activated in three ways:
  • By E-recharge
  • By Service Codes

How to activate internet by using E-Recharge

E-Recharge is also known as Flexi. I have tried three plans using E-Recharge. There is no guarantee of other plans as they need to be activated using a different method that I will tell you later in this post. The following plans can be activated using  E-Recharge:

18 Rs/- 200 MB 3 Days
98 Rs/- 1 GB 30 Days
149 Rs/- 2 GB 30 Days

So to activate the respective internet pack, just ask the retailer for the respective recharge amount and the internet will get activated instantly just after the recharge.

How to activate Internet from the mobile balance

Yes, you can activate internet from your existing mobile balance too. This means, suppose your mobile balance is 100 Rs/- You can activate any internet plan that is cheaper than 100 Rs/-. For example the pack of 98 Rs or lower. You may refer the above chart for the details of packs.

Now if you have sufficient balance, and are interested in activating internet from mobile, follow these steps:
  • First of all dial *567# From Your Airtel Mobile.
  • If you want to activate the 98 Rs/- plan then reply with 3. After replying, it will ask for confirmation, Now reply with 1 to activate the 98 Rs/- Plan. After some minutes the internet plan will get activated so wait for confirmation first if you don't want to lose your credits.
  • If you want to activate any other plan (Not 98 Rs/- ) then Dial *567# and reply with 1 to retrieve information of other packs. The information you will get is same as you have seen in the chart above. Now to activate these packs, reply with their respective numbers and confirm.

How to get GPRS settings?

To get GPRS settings for your phone, just send ans SMS with MO without quotes to 54321. After some time you will receive an SMS and settings automatically, apply these settings and then use Internet. If you are facing any problem the call Customer Care and ask them to send internet settings. you can call to customer care number 198
Bonus Internet pack: There is a small internet pack available that has been shifted from the *567# list. I am talking about the 50 MB pack, it is still available. The plan is 50 MB GPRS data for 5 Rs/- and valid upto Midnight (12:00 AM). The plan is useful if you want to use internet on your phone but you need just a small amount of data for checking urgent mails or something like that. The bad thing about this plan is that its validity is very low and depends on time of activation. This means, that if you activate this plan in morning, it will end in midnight, but on the other hand if you activate the same plan on evening,it will end in midnight. So I recommend to activate this plan in morning time.

To activate this plan:
  • Dial *222# From your Airtel mobile
  • Reply with 6 and confirm with one
  • Enjoy this Tiny plan for testing and emergency purposes.
To check the amount of Data remaining, just dial *123*10# . It will show you the amount of MB's remaining.

What will happen if I activate one more internet pack, when one is already active?

In This case, both the plans will remain active upto the given time period. You can activate upto four internet plans at once. I have not tried more though.

So If you find any difficulty in activating any plan, just comment or contact me. I will try to reply your queries ASAP. Thanks fr reading and welcome for sharing.

How to Get Free Recharge Online

Get Free Recharge
Getting something for free is everyone's need nowadays. But the truth is that even water costs you some pennies in market when focusing on real life. So it is a  "Like A Boss" feeling to get something for free and taming it by telling to the friends. Meanwhile surfing #Internet, you may have seen these kind of messages:

Get free recharge of Rs [100/200/500] now!!
Visit the link below and get a free recharge
So when you click on the link, you are asked to post the above messages on five different #Facebook groups to get access to free recharge. Well, as a matter of free recharge, its no harm for doing this and you continue by spamming five groups. Now when you come to the final last click to proceed, then you shall be glad to know that....

You were trolled by the scammer and here is the summary:

What you got: A waste of 5 minutes and not even a single penny of money in your mobile.
What scammer got: 1 unique visitor and backlinks from five Facebook groups which will lead in more traffic to the scam website.

How do you feel now, angry or Dafuq. Or both!
I know this feeling and encountered this when I started using internet 1 year before and was a noob in choosing what works and what didn't. But its not true to say that nothing works at all. I mean to say that there are some fully Genuine, Tested and 100% Working methods of getting a free recharge. Yeah you saw right, you can get a free recharge for doing some easy kinda tasks and bang. Right now I have found three different sites that offer free recharge in real time and real life. The three sites are:
  • Pickzup
  • Embee-pay
  • Ultoo
These three sites I found are very useful and must join for every internet user. These three sites are arranged in decreasing order of quality and hard work. Now I will explain you all the steps from How to Wow :-0

Pickzup

Pickzup logo
Pickzup is a #Website that pays you for reading sponsored mails and referring friends. I do not prefer reading mails as it pays very low but the huge plus point of using this service is the referral commission which is the highest I have found ever. This site pays you Rs 5 INR for every friend who joins through your affiliate link. Moreover the lowest recharge amount is just Rs 20 which is very small amount to earn. I recommend you this site if you want to get instant recharge and you have enough potential to build referrals instantly. I have done two recharges in two days of joining by just 5 minutes work. Increase your referrals and stop paying for mobile topups, as easy as that. The time taken to process your recharge is very few in seconds, so you don't have to wait for minutes for making your recharge possible. After reading the above lines, there is no reason to not join this exclusive website, So make sure that you join this site before it gets bankrupt though.
Note: You will need to verify your mobile number and E-Mail address in order to get Rs 10 signup bonus.
Update: As I said above, This site got bankrupt and now pays only 3Rs per referral :-\ So if you enjoyed this site, like me I made 150 Referrals in the mean-time, then it is good and now on you will get only 3 Rs per successful referral.
iHate: Takes 24-48 hours to convert points ready for recharge.

Join Pickzup    [ You will get Rs 10 for just joining through this unique link ]

Embee-Pay

No free recharge service can replace Embee-Pay. Embee-pay is a well known international and free recharge service that is present from last few years. Embee-Pay is little bit more complicated service and also more paying than others. Only genius people can use Embee-pay, but if you use Embee-pay at its best then you can get upto Rs 20 per referral. But as I have stated that Embee-Pay is very difficult to use and very strict like Google Adsense. So Don't try to fool Embee-pay by referring fake friends for the sake of getting free recharge. No matter where* you live in the world, Embee-pay is ready to pay you. You need to do various tasks depending on what you choose. you have option to choose from hundreds of live offers and many new are added daily. Offers are also from famous advertisers like Matomy media, Crowd-flower and many more. P.S. It is obvious that you will get confused for first time while using Embee-pay. You shall take help from the below post that I have posted earlier.
Recommended: How to use Embee-Pay [ A step by step guide ]
iHate: Accepts referrals only from Facebook friends and no points rewarded for outsiders.

Ultoo

Ultoo Logo
Ultoo is a new Indian website that offers you free recharge for Sending SMS. Yes you saw right, you get paid for sending SMS to anyone in India. The concept behind Ultoo is by saving some little pennies that you waste on sending SMS to your friends. The bad thing is that it pays your Re 1 for sending 50 SMS, :-|
Even the referral commission is too low being Re 1 per referral. The only thing I liked is the lowest payout rate and that is Rs 10 only. It even doesn't supports Airtel Recharge though.
For more information about Ultoo
iHate: Airtel not supported; referral rate is too low.

Join Ultoo

Conclusion

So now you are aware of three websites that are genuine and fully working. You can get free recharge if you spend some real time using these sites. I recommend you using Pickzup and after that Embee-pay. Pickzup because it requires lesser manual work and Embee-pay because it has various tasks to be completed. Now what are you waiting for, just join these useful sites and stop paying for atleast your mobile recharge. Please let me know your experience using these sites, your queries and feedback is welcomed :-)

Get Free Mobile Recharge via Sending SMS

Update: I have found a new website that is more better if you are using Ultoo to just get a free recharge. As we know that we get only 1 Rs per referral in Ultoo. I have found a website which gives you 5 Rs for referring one friend. So if you are in need of Recharge, Then I would recommend you to go with the new website. And one more good thing is that minimum recharge amount is only 20 Rs. Give it a try and you will love this site too:

If you send daily many messages to your friends, classmates or loved ones, then I have a very useful website for you. Recently while digging for content, I got a website that pays you to send SMS to anyone. Yes you saw right, all you need is to send free SMS to anyone and for every single SMS you send, you will get credited some amount of money. This is how this site works:-

You send one SMS from the website, You get 2 paise for it.This means you need to send 50 SMS in order to earn 1 Rs.  This seems somewhat slow and never finishing task but as you will spend time with this site. But still it as a better alternative than paid ones, which are offered by mobile operators.

One additional and better way to increase your earnings is by referring friends. You get 1 Rs credited in your account for referring a single friend. This will help you for sure if you have a big friends network, so that you can tell them about this site.

The best thing is the recharge payout, which is mere 10 Rs. So it means you you just need to refer 10 friends to get your first recharge.

So allover, this site is must try for everyone. If you are worried about its quality then you need not to worry about that. I myself tried this site and the results were as follows. The SMS are sent very quickly in mere seconds and the recharge is processed in just 10 seconds at all. I am saying this with confidence as I got a recharge from this site today. So I couldn't resist from sharing it with you.

So if you are interested in joining this amazing site,

Join site ( Ultoo )

Make Animated Wallpaper Online

Yesterday I found a really cool website for making animated gif wallpapers online easily and quickly. So its time to move on with animated wallpapers to oomph your mobile phone a little bit more. Below is a animation made withe the help of the website.

Yes I know its definitely better option rather than using a static wallpaper. I know hat you are interested and can't wait. The website name is RedDodo. It allows you to make animated wallpapers from preset templates. You just need to add your change the text in the animation. I recommend you to change the resolution to 240x320 as the default resolution set is very low.

Visit RedDodo

The site is easy to use but filled with useless templates though. So I decided to add some of my favorite templates that are the crown of this site.

I hope you like my collection and the site too. Its a very good and recommended site for mobile users who are searching for a new wallpaper.

Get 2.5GB Vodafone 2G Internet @ Rs.130

Vodafone Logo
Vodafone India Logo

Update: Please note that you may get 250 MB of GPRS data instead of 500 MB. I have tried to confirm it but it keeps in changing, giving some time 500 MB of data and sometime 250 MB. I take no responsibility of this issue so I have warned you.
(This internet plan is tried on Delhi/NCR circle and is meant for Vodafone 2G network only)

Hello friends, today I am sharing a very cool tip to get 2.5GB Vodafone Internet only for Rs. 130 per month. Usually you get a mere 1 GB of GPRS Data for Rs. 100 per month. And that 1 GB is easily ended by people like me in just 10 days or less. This becomes a cause of waste of money and you plan to buy an broadband connection.
But suddenly a wild post on Ptmaroct's Blog appears that doubles the data cap for adding just Rs. 30 extra.

Now first let me explain you how is this possible ( this is not a cheating trick based on proxies ).
A Month has 30 days probably, now we divide these days by 6, surely we will get 5.

Now the final procedure on how it works:-
In Vodafone 2G, there is a Internet Plan which is as of Rs. 26/6 days/500 MB data.
Do this recharge whenever your data ends up or the time period either. You need to do this recharge only when you need Internet. So it saves money too.

Simply do a flexi/e-recharge of Rs. 26 five times a month and you will get:
=> 6days x 5 = 30 days of 2G Internet
=> 500 MB x 5 = 2.5GB
=> And that only for Rs.26 x 5= Rs. 130

Or if you have enough balance in your mobile phone i.e. more than 26 Rs, then you can activate this internet pack by dialing *444*26#

For checking remaining data cap, follow these instructions

  • Dial *111# from your Vodafone mobile
  • Reply with 6 which is titles as Data Plan
  • Reply with 2 to view your remaining data
